Famous for his drug addiction, sleeping with a thousand prostitutes and crucifying himself in the Philippines while Sarah Lucas filmed it - artist and author Sebastian Horsley was also a lovely, fascinating man, who passed away yesterday. I met him last year when I was filming a TV show which he was a guest on, the studio was extremely hot so I swapped my Domakaya butterfly fan for a copy of his book, Dandy in the Underworld. His message to me, being a true testament to his character (I've had to censor it!), read:
"Dear Zara,
Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of...This my dear, is it...Remember to read with one hand.
Love Sebastian xxx"
