Megan Fox
"Every time I get a tattoo, it's a little fuck-you to anyone who tells me not to. I like the way getting a tattoo feels. It's weird to be part of Hollywood, which tries to control every aspect of people, from what they say to the color of their hair. And I like the way getting a tattoo feels. If I'm depressed, it's nice to get one and deal with the pain. I have one all the way down to my ribs. It hurt, but it felt good like twisting a loose tooth. I'm not kidding when I say that if I ever lose a role because of my tattoos, I'll quit Hollywood and go to work at Costco." "Everyone hates them because people are so closed-minded about tattoos"
"That's something I have found. People who don't like me as far as fans go, always talk about how I'm trashy because I have tattoos. I find that insane. This is 2010 not 1950. Tattoos aren't limited to sailors.""
"It's a form of art and it's one of the oldest forms of art. I find them beautiful so I'm going to keep doing it. I'm not going to let something like that stop me."
Regrettable Tattoo ChoiceThe 24-year-old, who recently said the relationship is currently off, told Australia's Famous magazine: "I have the name Brian tattooed on my body." Talking about her skin art, she said: "I'm a little reckless every once in a while." She adds, "But at the same time it's so easy to get tattoos removed now. Plus, it's such a light, small and delicate tattoo. I've looked into getting it removed just out of curiosity and it would only be $200 to remove.”
Actress Megan Fox regrets asking a stoned tattooist to craft a tribal design on her arm - because it turned into nothing but a messy mark. Fox is now taking steps to get the tattoo removed and insists she'll take more care when she picks skin artists in the future.
The Transformers star says, "The guy was smoking weed while he tattooed me and he didn't do it correctly. Now it's nothing and I'm gonna get it removed. I was told he was a really amazing tattoo artist but he wasn't on his game that night. He was distracted."
Fox had better luck with her first tattoo - an image of her heroine Marilyn Monroe: "She was one of the first people I saw on television, like, literally moments after I was born. Every time I heard her voice growing up I always would cry. I wouldn't know why when I was younger but had my own theories. I've just always empathized with her."
Megan explains some of her tats... A poem I wrote on my ribcage a line on my shoulder "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies" from Shakespear's King Lear and a symbol for strength on my neck, and my boyfriend Brian's name tattooed next to my pie. She also has Marilyn Monroe on her forearm, a star on her ankle.
Her newest tattoo is a quote from Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche -
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music. Fox stated "I actually got a tattoo this is sort of in honor of [Mickey Rourke]. It's on my ribs. I don't know if it's been photographed yet, but it'll come out eventually, I'm sure. I just love him very much and think he's very special."
Megan Fox is planning to add to her tattoo collection - by completely covering one of her arms with a "sleeve". The sexy Transformers star already has at least 8 tattoos -
Fox said: "I'm going to sleeve my arm."
