Nag Panchami is a Hindu festival celebrated by Hindus in most parts of India. It is celebrated on Panchami in Shravan month. Nag Panchami will be celebrated on 4th August 2011 throughout India. Nag Panchami is the day on which snakes are worshipped. Snake temples and Shiva temples are flooded with people during this festival. The Indian mythology is full of stories, relating, snakes, humans, gods and demons with each other. Snakes have been associated with eternal gods like Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and also Lord Vishnu's incarnation Lord Krishna.
